3647 water supply schemes, managed by 3849 Beneficiary Groups have been completed as on end March ’08 through Jalanidhi project. All these schemes are being operated and maintained by the beneficiary communities. Another 65 schemes are at different stages of implementation and works on these schemes are going / progressing on a war footing basis. Out of the 15 river based large water supply schemes  taken up so far,  6 schemes have already been  commissioned and 9 schemes are in the implementation phase .
