3703 water supply schemes, managed by 3961 Beneficiary Groups have been completed as on end of April’09 through Jalanidhi project. All these schemes are being operated and maintained by the beneficiary committees. Another 9 schemes are at different stages of implementation and works on these schemes are going/progressing on a war footing basis. This include 5 river based water supply schemes and Tsunami rehabilitation project in Chavara and Panmana panchayaths.
